Welcome! This site shares my projects, experiences, and reflections on digital pedagogy and other adventures. Like this blog, I am a work in progress.

Academic and corporate learning environments often appear to operate in separate spheres, using different terminology and frameworks to describe their work.

In higher education, the language centers on learning outcomes, scaffolding, and rubrics. In corporate L&D, the vocabulary shifts to performance objectives, templates, and evaluation frameworks. Yet beneath these different terms lies a shared commitment to the same fundamental goals: measurable learning, practical tools that facilitate development, and demonstrable evidence of effectiveness. Both require creating learning experiences that move people from knowledge to application. The real difference isn’t in capability or commitment but in how we articulate the value and impact of that work.

What I’ve developed through two decades in higher education are learning tools grounded in adult learning principles, designed for practical application, and built to demonstrate measurable results. These are instruments that guide learning tasks, helping hundreds of learners develop competencies, track progress, and achieve specific objectives. Each template defines clear objectives, measures progress against standards, and documents outcomes. Many facilitate meaningful self-assessment as well.

The examples below offer concrete evidence of designing learning solutions that support both individual development and organizational goals. Using 3 different apps, they demonstrate capability in translating complex objectives into clear, actionable frameworks that help people demonstrate what they know and can do in their work.
